Tiles for the bathroom

Currently, it is fashionable that porcelain stoneware floor tiles in bathrooms have a dark floor and partly dark-colored walls. Brown shades or even black have the advantage that light impurities are often not visible. For white tiles and floor tiles made of porcelain stoneware must visually significantly more often cleaned so it is clean and looks. But also iridescent tiles and floor tiles made of porcelain stoneware are pleasant in appearance. For example, in the colors blue, green or brown; as the colors blur here, a pleasant loosening of the tiles and the look of the room is created.

Tiles in the kitchen and hall

Porcelain stoneware floor tiles in the kitchen and hallway should be chosen so that they are at least slightly roughened to prevent slipping on slightly damp floors. In terms of colors, floor tiles made of porcelain stoneware are generally recommended to have a color which does not directly indicate slight impurities. Do you like reds, brown or orange? The floor tiles made of porcelain stoneware have many different patterns or even color gradients, which can distract wonderfully from damp footprints. Of course, matching tiles can also be laid on the wall, for example up to half of the wall. If the floor tiles and porcelain stoneware tiles in the corridor and kitchen are chosen in the same colors, the surfaces will be more generous in most cases. If you are not sure whether the porcelain stoneware tiles or floor tiles are suitable for wallpaper or furnishings, then give them a sample and hold them where you can see exactly if the color is right for you.

Floor tiles create a nice ambience with their design.

Our high quality tiles for the floor are easy to clean. In addition, the floor tiles are frost-proof and have a low abrasion. As a floor covering in the bathroom, in the kitchen or in living rooms our floor tiles are ideal in different variants such as glazed, unglazed, polished or as tiles in wood look. At Mosafil you can also order sample tiles, which we will send you by post. So you can examine floor tiles on site in your own rooms and with the existing lighting conditions in peace.

Our commercial floor tiles have special surface textures, such as glazed floor tiles with roughened surfaces for secure adhesion or unglazed floor tiles with slightly profiled surfaces. Attention must be paid to the sure-footedness of the floor tiles, which corresponds exactly to the regulations of professional associations or EU directives. So it is no wonder that almost exclusively trained master craftsmen lay floor tiles. As a private user, in principle, anyone can integrate floor tiles in their own four walls. However, here the danger is great to use floor tiles from optical points of view instead of paying attention to skid resistance and slip resistance.

Our tip:

For this reason, for example, we strongly advise against using classic wall tiles for the hallway or bathroom floor as floor tiles. The risk of slipping is just too big!

slip resistance

For do-it-yourselfers, we recommend laying floor tiles in accordance with the professional, bathroom, cellar, swimming pool or garden assessment categories. For wet areas, there are three floor tile rating groups. Almost all floor tiles on the German market have been tested for skid resistance. For example, changing rooms or sauna areas with very low humidity are assigned to rating group A. Assessment Group B is intended for use with floor tiles for largely wet barefoot walkways and swimming pools. All water-bearing floor tiles, such as water stairs, belong to Assessment Group C.
